We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Coordinator with experience of working with people with a learning disability and their support network. The Positive Partnerships Team (PPT) is part of the Specialist Learning Disabilities Service in Hertfordshire. PPT provides training and support to care provider organisations in Positive Behavioural Support and other person-centred approaches. If you have experience of working with people with a learning disability in a supportive role and would like to apply your skills and knowledge to help others develop their approach, then this could be for you. The Positive Partnerships Team is an integral part of our Specialist Learning Disabilities Service and works closely with other health and social care services within Hertfordshire. The Post will be based in Stevenage or Welwyn. Travel by car throughout the area covered by the service is essential. Main duties of the job The Assistant Coordinator will support the delivery of consistent and effective training and on-going practice development opportunities to care organisations to help strengthen their capacity to provide robust and skilled support to people living in Hertfordshire as part of the Transforming Care programme. The postholder will also help identify local community resources for people to engage in in their local area, they will support with information gathering and will work alongside other members of the team contributing to service delivery and supporting other service initiatives.
