Job Type: Full-time & Considered Permanent
Experience: No Previous Experience Required.
Area: Southwell, Nottinghamshire area (Employee must live within a 2-5-mile radius)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Company Description:
We are a small specialist company that remedies colour issues related to brickwork and masonry; we have been working on domestic and commercial developments throughout the UK for over 40 years.
As our business continues to grow, a position has become available for a Trainee Remedial Technician.
For further information and details of what our business does, please visit our website www.BuildingCosmeticServices.co.uk.
Job Description:
The position is part of a two-man team working outside on domestic and commercial construction developments throughout the United Kingdom.
The role will involve driving to & from the site each day (shared driving) and assisting your experienced supervisor in completing the necessary works on site for that particular project.
Early morning starts are the norm, and although the majority of our Supervisors generally drive to and from the site each day, there are occasions when the job or location prevents this, so they accommodate themselves locally. (Your Supervisor will arrange this & an allowance will be provided to cover any sustenance.)
Additionally, over the course of the following 12-18 months, you will learn the role of the Supervisor; this will include learning how to mix up matching tints, liaising with Site Managers, basic administrative work, and any other aspect of becoming a Supervisor.
Once we are satisfied, it would be our intention to promote you to Supervisor and for you to have an assistant. (Salary & Benefits would increase accordingly)

In order to work on the majority of construction sites within the UK, an employee must hold at least a CSCS Labourers Card; this company will pay for the candidate to undertake a CSCS Health & Safety Multiple choice test; once this has been passed, the company will apply for a 6-month provisional card.
After 6 months, the company will pay for you to undertake a CITB Health & Safety Awareness Course, which is usually a 1-day course, and once completed, a 5-year CSCS Card will be applied for you.
