The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant/Advisor to join our Inverurie team. In this dynamic role, you’ll support our diverse client base in meeting compliance requirements while delivering a high-value service that truly makes a difference.
As standard, this firm offers a 4-day working week working 34 hours a week, which will come into effect after probation. We are also happy to discuss alternative flexible working arrangements, so please include this as part of your application.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare accounts for a variety of clients across different sectors.
* Utilise financial and cloud accounting software effectively.
* Conduct bank reconciliations and analyse VAT returns.
* Provide proactive support to clients, answering queries and building strong relationships.
* Collaborate with senior colleagues to deliver a premium service.
* Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering growth.
* Contribute to the financial success of the department.
* Stay committed to your professional development.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience: Minimum 2 years in accounts preparation in a practice environment.
* Qualifications: AAT/ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or equivalent by experience.
* Skills: Strong communication, commercial awareness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Tech-Savvy: Confident in using and supporting clients with accounting software.
* Flexibility: Adaptable to work with clients from varied industries and manage competing priorities.
* Mobility: Access to a vehicle and a valid driving licence (preferred).
