Job summary
An exciting vacancy has arisen to join the Clinical Engineering team at Hywel Dda University Health Board.The post holder will complete medical device maintenance and repairs within Prince Philip Hospital with the aim of providing medical equipment that is fit for service.
Main duties of the job
Working within agreed protocols and under the direction of more senior members of the team. The post holder will be expected to otherwise prioritise and organise their daily work.
The post holder will be required to carry out a range of tasks to support the supply of medical equipment to clinical teams.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential
1. GCSE Maths, English Language, Science (C grade or above).
2. Level 3 Qualification OND/A Level or equivalent qualification / experience in a relevant area such as clinical Technology or Electrical / Electronic Engineering

3. Anatomy & physiology training
4. Eligibility for membership of AHCS at Practitioner level and/or RCT.

5. The ability to display a working knowledge of electronic, electrical / mechanical engineering
6. Organisational, interpersonal and operational skills needed for post management of resources planning and delivery of service provision.
7. Ability to produce written and verbal reports pertinent to the post technical documentation
