Job summary
The Day procedure Unit is made up of Muriel Thoms day Procedure Unit, Allies Theatre and the North Norfolk Macmillan Centre. It has several LA (Local anesthetic) procedure rooms which is where minor surgery for Pain, Dermatology, Urology, Vascular and gynecological specialties takes place, together with venesections and BCG treatments. This clinical work is supported by clinics which are are either led by a specialist doctor or nurse with the support of the nursing team.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is willing to adapt to meet the needs of our service and train to scrub, providing surgical support in theatre for the above specialties. Previous experience in one of these fields would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
You will work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, to contribute to the provision of the highest standards of patient care.
You should be able to work well as part of a team and be able to prioritize your own workload.
You will be expected to work in all areas of the department and be taught to use the specialized equipment.
