A highly reputable and independent SEN secondary school located in Towcester, near Silverstone, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Worker to join their permanent staff team starting in January 2025, or sooner if available.

Salary Range:
* £24,420 - £25,410 per annum (dependent on relevant qualifications and experience). Plus SEN allowance and additional benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide in-class support for students with SEN, adapting approaches to suit individual learning styles and needs.
* Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities, ensuring students remain engaged and achieve their learning objectives.
* Promote positive behavior and emotional well-being, helping students develop essential life and social skills.
* Monitor and report on student progress, working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents.
* Support the creation of a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
* Attend meetings and training sessions as required, contributing to the continuous improvement of the school’s SEN provision.
Requirements:
* Experience in supporting young people with special educational needs (SEN), particularly in a secondary school setting.
* Relevant qualifications in education or child development (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Patience, empathy, and a commitment to improving outcomes for students with SEN.
* A proactive, flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
* A good understanding of safeguarding procedures and the importance of promoting a safe environment for students.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one prior to employment).
