ROLE: Primary SENCO

Sennen Education are working on behalf of a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing school in Bury who are looking for a dynamic individual who will lead their SEN provision and champion inclusion across the school. The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of SEND and writing EHCP's for children. The school is looking for an experienced SENCO who is passionate about ensuring all children receive an inclusive and quality education. The school is flexible for work from home days twice a week.
Responsibilities:
1. Leading the development and implementation of the school's SEND policy and practices
2. Identifying and assessing pupils with SEND needs and responding accordingly (e.g. developing provision and practice in order to meet need, referring to external agencies, collating EHCP applications)
3. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with families, external agencies and stakeholders to ensure pupil success
4. Keeping up-to-date with changes in legislation and ensuring all staff are trained in understanding SEND requirements
5. Identifying and coordinating interventions and support for pupils with SEND through liaising with colleagues, external agencies and professionals
Requirements:
1. Hold a degree-level qualification in education or a relevant field.
2. Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
3. Demonstrate a strong ability to lead and manage staff, drawing upon your experience and expertise.
4. Show enthusiasm and dedication to making a real impact on the lives of our children
5. Have a passion for creating accessible teaching and learning opportunities for all students.
6. Have the NASENCo qualification or be willing to obtain it
