The primary role of the Legal Assistant is to provide direct administrative support to the Property Team members to enable them to operate as a team at optimum efficiency. This will include but will not be limited to the main responsibilities given below. The Property Completions Team Legal Assistant is expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative. Previous experience of residential property work is required.

KEY TASKS
These will include but are not limited to:
* Managing the administration of the property transactions from exchange onwards as part of the Completions Team; in addition to this primary role you will also be required to assist with Onboarding and Offboarding clients including: file opening, anti money laundering procedures, file maintenance and file closure and archiving, when there is a business need.
* Supporting the fee earners and managing client relationships, capturing and maintaining accurate data and providing regular communications in order to surprise and delight clients.
* Preparing and managing correspondence, documents and associated filing
* Preparing the full range of legal forms such SDLT forms and Land Registry applications
* Making appointments, arranging meetings and maintaining an up-to-date diary for his/her team members
* Preparing completion statements and dealing with accounts transfers and payments
* Dealing with completion formalities after exchange of contracts
* Providing support to all team members as required
* Undertaking any specific training when required to do so
* Ensuring client data integrity and confidentiality
* Preparing client invoices and financial statements
* Completing forms for accounts transactions including CHAPS payments and preparation of bills
* Conducting face to face meetings as necessary
* Performing legal functions under direction and supervision of a qualified Fee Earner
