Music Teacher
Required from September 2025
This is a part time permanent position (0.5fte)
Salary: Main/Upper Teaching Scale - £16,216-£24,970
Closing Date: Tuesday 6th May 2025
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Music with the ability to teach to GCSE level, for September 2025. The successful candidate will be primarily an outstanding teacher that will lead by example and support the department in achieving its ambitious targets. We encourage applications from teachers of any experience who feel they can add value to an already highly-effective department and prosper in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Successful candidates must:
1. Be a teacher of Music/NQT with consistently ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ classroom practice
2. A passionate advocate of the subject who contributes effectively to departmental and whole school improvement.
3. Able to teach across the full age and ability range at age 11-16.
4. Eager to become a supportive Form Tutor.
5. Able and willing to make a full contribution to the life of the school.
6. Have high expectations of themselves and others
7. Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
8. Be flexible and a good team player

This is an exciting time to join Ysgol Aberconwy, a mixed 11-to-18 comprehensive school of over 1000 pupils.
