JOB TITLE:
Finance Manager - Maternity Cover - 18 hours per week over 3 days tba plus 1 Saturday a month
November 2024 - September 2025
Responsible To:
The Centre Manager
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead the Lymington Community Association (LCA) finance functions. To be responsible for accounts and reporting.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To report on the LCA’s financial position and results including monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
2. Process all Direct Debits, Standing Orders, and Bank Credits through Xero.
3. Monthly bank reconciliation for all accounts.
4. Keep record of the COIF Account.
5. Provide timely financial information and analyses as requested by the Treasurer and Centre Manager, including monthly management accounts.
6. Monitor financial achievements against budget; oversee the accounting process, including maintenance of cash balances, timely payments, collection of receivables, audit arrangements, and submission of VAT returns.
7. Responsible for VAT records and compilation of VAT returns and PAYE/National Insurance payments.
8. Report on LCA’s Bank and Investment accounts, including full reconciliations regularly.
9. Report on the financial aspects of all Reception, Bar, Cinema, Preschool, Tidal Boutique, and Café trading.
10. Produce year-end accounts, process year-end data, and liaise with auditors, bankers, HMRC, and EPoS suppliers.
11. Manage payment of employee salaries and pensions, liaising with the Centre Manager on staff clocking and holiday/sickness records.
12. Perform due diligence on expenditure requests and operate within agreed authorisation limits set by the Centre Manager and Trustee Board.

* Work in collaboration with the Association’s management and staff to ensure effective communication.
* Sustain effective working relationships across the organisation to meet the objectives of the Association.
* Maintain accurate records to enable timely delivery of all information requirements within the scope of the role.
INFORMATION:
* Familiarize with the LCA’s IT systems and make appropriate changes to financial systems as agreed.
* Maintain the LCA’s Accounting system, including input of information from original records and payment of creditors.

Pay: £12.50-£17.50 per hour
