The Role
You will report to the Director of Operations. You will have overall responsibility for a number of casework and decision-making teams. You will ensure that work is carried out consistently and effectively, to facilitate the achievement of team objectives.
The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
· Managing and providing leadership within your area, to ensure delivery of a high-quality service that keeps the customer at the heart of everything we do
· Monitoring the management of people performance through regular communication within your management team and having overarching responsibility for people development and wellbeing, ensuring your people are fully supported
· Ensuring that your area makes a valuable contribution to meeting CICA business objectives and KPIs, through the monitoring of Management Information
· Play a key role in the operational delivery senior management team, both at a strategic and operational level
· Demonstrating commitment to the Business Plan, through driving continuous improvement in collaboration with colleagues across all business areas
· Responsibility within your area for adherence to all MoJ Polices
· Responsibility for building and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders such as His Majesty’s Court and Tribunal Services (HMCTS), Police, Victim Support Services, GPs etc
Other duties
The post holder is required to work in a flexible way and undertake any other duties reasonably requested by line management which are commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post.
Essential Criteria
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both individual and group situations
Experience of managing teams and adherence to associated HR practices
Ability to inspire and motivate others to deliver operational performance
Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise effectively
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Highly focused on delivering results and objectives, with a strong personal commitment to supporting the business in achieving its goals in a changing environment
Desirable Criteria
Demonstrable experience of managing large operational teams
Demonstrable experience of delivering continuous improvement
