Exciting Opportunity: Shift Operations Manager - Permanent Position Location: Surrey Salary: £70k - £80k Generous Bonus, Pension & Holidays About the Company: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Shift Operations Manager to oversee and lead the operations team at their Hampshire facility. This key role involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the site, optimizing performance, addressing operational challenges, and ensuring compliance with gas quality and oil export standards. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations of the facility, leading a team of 3 direct reports. ️ Supervise the Central Control Room and act as Incident Controller during emergencies, ensuring a swift and coordinated response. Regularly communicate with stakeholders to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations. Provide detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Operations Manager, highlighting performance, identifying potential issues, and recommending solutions. Ensure seamless shift handovers, facilitating clear communication regarding operational status and safety updates. Enforce rigorous safety protocols, ensuring all tasks are performed with appropriate risk assessments and permits in place. Proactively identify, report, and address equipment issues, ensuring swift corrective actions are implemented. ⚙️ Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and environmental responsibility throughout operations. Foster a positive safety culture and contribute ideas for continuous improvement. Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience in supervising, operating, or maintaining high-pressure gas production facilities or COMAH sites. Strong background in Chemical Refinery or Oil & Gas production. Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to delegate and manage tasks effectively. Experienced in responding to unplanned shutdowns and emergencies, adhering strictly to safety protocols. Familiar with conducting plant inspections, identifying maintenance needs, and carrying out routine checks. Ability to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, and schematic diagrams to develop and improve operating procedures. A strong understanding of business and economic reports to inform operational decision-making. Proficient with computers and relevant software systems. Must possess a valid UK driving license and be literate and numerate
