Position: Head of Energy Risk
As Head of Energy Risk, you will be responsible for leading a team of risk managers and Energy Analysts to deliver energy risk management services to a range of clients. This involves building risk strategies, providing market intelligence and advice, and executing transactions in line with policy. The role covers bespoke customer contracts and wider customer baskets, playing a pivotal role in strategic growth and customer base expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and motivate a team of risk managers and energy analysts through coaching and training.
* Deliver energy risk management services to key clients.
* Develop risk management strategies and governance frameworks using market knowledge.
* Implement risk strategies and provide accurate position reporting.
* Manage relationships with third-party service providers supporting risk management.
* Innovate and develop new products and services.
* Maintain business continuity and crisis management plans, ensuring they are tested.
* Serve as a point of escalation within the team.
Experience & Skills:
* Experience in energy utility or consultancy (>5 years desirable).
* Knowledge of UK energy markets (gas, power, carbon, LNG) (>5 years desirable).
* Understanding of UK energy regulatory and policy environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of presenting to senior management.
* Proven leadership in managing high-performance teams.
* Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
* Analytical skills with high attention to detail.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and self-manage effectively.
* Ability to simplify complex concepts for clients and colleagues.
* Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Bloomberg, ICIS Heren, Reuters is desirable.
