Job Title : QA Engineer
Location : Stirling, Scotland
Type of Employment: Full time, Permanent. Hybrid.

Responsible for:
We are seeking a QA Engineer to join Hydro’s Operations team and support our telemetry products.
Must have:
1. The applicant for this role would ideally be educated to HNC level in an engineering subject
2. Have a driving license
3. Eligible to work in the UK
Duties required for the role include: -
4. Schedule production of electronics equipment
5. Produce work instructions for production
6. Manage supplier relationships
7. Conduct annual supplier audits in accordance with ISO9001, as well as additional supplier visits, especially during product builds
8. Manage non-conformances and corrective actions for Hydro Electronics Products
9. Obtaining and analysing supplier re-work and failure rate data where possible
10. Check for any gaps and inadequacies on Hydro drawings and work with the Product Development team to get these resolved
Compliance
11. Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organisation
12. Gathering of internal information in response to compliance audits and regulatory requests
13. Review marketing materials, presentations, and websites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
14. Carry out ATEX / EX Authorised Person responsibilities as specified by BS EN 80079-34
15. Carry out the duties of the ‘Responsible persons’ and ‘technical persons with executive function’ as specified by BS EN 60079
The skills required : -
16. Must be able to read engineering drawings
17. A good understanding of electronics assembly manufacturing processes is essential
18. They need to be computer literate
19. They must have a good knowledge of ISO9001
20. They should be capable of working methodically to ensure that quality is not compromised even when working under time constraints
Software: -
21. Microsoft suite
22. Warranty dashboard experience.
23. ERP systems such as NAV or SAP .
Industry: -
Working in the electronics manufacturing industry, experience with EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) companies.
