The Treasury and Trading Platform Lead role, as part of the Enterprise & ERP Platforms team, will develop and lead a team of product specialists and suppliers - providing technical guidance, support, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This role requires ability to use their subject matter expertise within Metal Trading and the PGMS business to guide the execution of any project through the delivery phases supporting people through project delivery management, mentoring and coaching activities and maintaining the integrity of the platform.
The primary scope of the role covers all systems that support and enable the mission critical Treasury and Platinum Metal Trading team. Whilst the role spans two organisationally disparate functions - Treasury resides within the central Group Finance organisation, Metal Trading resides within JM's Platinum Group Metal Services business unit, the supporting systems are of a similar nature and heavily integrated. This roll will define, manage and execute the successful delivery of a set of projects and products aligned to the defined cost, quality, time and value goals associated with these platforms.
The role works closely with business stakeholders and IT architecture teams to define the strategy for each platform, building roadmaps which deliver long term value and then delivering those roadmaps through both in-house capability and strategic partners. It also works closely with other Platform leads to ensure joined up roadmaps, design and solutions with aligned delivery plans.
The role also has a strong focus on delivering operational support to the Platinum Metal Trading team ensuring excellent service is delivered 24x7 across the global operation. A review of current platform capability, technical design and performance, and support needs to be developed with a view to simplify, improve performance and optimise total cost of ownership. The lead will pull together a technical roadmap and execute against this to ensure platforms are secure, scalable, robust and aligns to business goals.

Your responsibilities:
* Stakeholder Management & Advocacy: Effectively partner with the business to understand the voice of the customers and business requirements to reflect into engineering reality. Develop agile working practices that unites the JMIT platform team with Business product stakeholders across the Global remit.
* Vendor and Resource Management: Strong management of external and internal suppliers to ensure streamlined and coordinated support, and a focus on simplification and value add. Partner with them to define and execute roadmaps that align with business and technical needs. Manage a 24/7 support capability providing L2/L3 support and maintenance, working with support partners and vendors. Negotiate service agreements and manage vendor performance to ensure they meet agreed SLAs.
* Platform Strategy & Roadmap: Lead the strategy and roadmap for the platforms, working closely with the engineering teams, stakeholders, and business leaders to align the platform and product with the company's goals and objectives
* Platform Security & Performance: Ensure the platform is secure, scalable, and high performing, monitoring key metrics and KPIs, identifying and addressing issues, and proactively identifying opportunities to optimize performance and enhance the customer experience
* Project Management: Lead the teams to deliver a set of projects aligned to the defined cost, quality, time and value goals.
* Knowledge Management & Continuous Learning: Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team. Implement a systematic knowledge management process for best practices to optimize development lifecycles and ensure the organization stays adaptable to evolving platform technologies.
Requirements for the role:
* Highly experienced business systems professional with full lifecycle platform implementation and support experience across Treasury and/or Metal Trading (or commodity trading) operations
* Experience of support and maintenance, platform governance, control and compliance - in a real-time operational environment, providing 24x7 support
* Strong infrastructure, database and cloud platform knowledge with hands-on experience
* Commercial acumen - demonstrable through experience of cost centre management, supplier commercial and relationship management
* Experienced inspirational leader of direct and indirect teams, with proven ability to build high-performing teams
* Business focused; able to build strong working relationships across a variety of functions and across JMIT; shaping and aligning business and IT strategy
