With a strong portfolio of projects in the South East of England, we are expanding and looking for an experienced Estimator with expertise in both façades and drylining to join our team in Basildon. Role Overview: As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for façade and drylining projects. You will collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and clients to ensure cost-effective solutions, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for façade and drylining works based on technical drawings and specifications. Analyze project requirements and collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure accurate estimates. Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare and submit tender documents, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules. Conduct risk analysis and value engineering to optimize costs while maintaining quality. Monitor and report on project budgets and ensure alignment with estimates. Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings to gather essential project information. Provide post-tender support, including pricing variations and final accounts. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, material costs, and construction technologies. Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, specifically with façades and drylining. Strong knowledge of façade systems, drylining, materials, and construction processes. Familiarity with construction contracts (JCT, NEC, etc.) and industry standards. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Causeway, or similar). Preferred: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
