About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Computer Science lessons to Key Stage 4 students, focusing on developing proficiency in programming, algorithms, and data structures. Plan and deliver lessons that integrate theoretical concepts with practical applications, incorporating project-based learning, coding challenges, and collaborative projects. Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including coding portfolios, presentations, and written assessments, providing detailed and constructive feedback. Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies within the Computer Science department, staying abreast of emerging technologies and educational trends. Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs, hackathons, and robotics competitions, promoting student engagement and fostering a passion for computer science. Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to integrate computational thinking and digital literacy into the wider curriculum. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Computer Science or a related field. Experience teaching Computer Science to Key Stage 4 students, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate students in coding and problem-solving. Proficiency in a range of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) and coding platforms. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for engaging young minds in the world of computer science.
