Through effective planning, adaption, and teamwork, to support the evolving operational needs of UK Manufacturing, more specifically in areas of Purchasing, Planning and Shipping. To ensure that these areas are supported in a manner which improves the overall effectiveness of the team in the KPI’s of lead-time and OTIF.
Tasks and Responsibilities
This is a broad operational role, with flexibility required to ensure success:
1. Supporting shipping through review of outstanding shipments, raising documents such as Commercial Invoices, Packing lists, manifests, etc., and booking of shipments onto logistics portals/with customers to minimize the time from RAF to shipment.
2. Potential to develop further into a qualified DG shipper (IATA/IMDG training required, after a period of experience).
3. Supporting the planning process as directed by the local planner to make sure the daily report is updated correctly, all CoPS, SMI’s and labels are provided in a timely manner, and any production or RM related queries related to production planning are resolved in a timely manner to minimize the lead-time.
4. Where necessary and agreed, to amend purchase order and planning dates to support improvements to the confirmed ship date versus the requested date for customer sales orders.
5. Management of off-site stock movements as required to keep the amount of stock on site to a safe (COMAH) and practical level, while ensuring stock movements are as efficient as can be, planned and effective. Use of the COMAH report to manage this is required.
6. Completing buying messages, import clearances, consignment stock transfers, aged/undated orders and Bio Encap as directed by the RM Purchaser or Operations Manager.
7. Supporting RM IC orders including confirmation of stock availability, creation of loads and communicating with local purchasing and divisions on stock availability.
8. Reviewing outstanding order lines not marked as shipped for discrepancies or issues preventing invoice on a daily basis and resolving issues with the relevant team, ensuring communication on such issues is timely and precise.
9. Identifying areas of opportunity in the processes, and working with the key improvements colleague and process owners, developing these into tangible actions and achievements.
10. Reviewing the OTIF for both FG and RM in conjunction with the relevant colleagues to ensure accuracy and identify improvements.
11. Supporting the colleague social plan for BX – organisation, long service cakes and arrangements, etc.
12. Any activities not specially listed per the requirements of the business as identified by the Operations Manager.
13. Hours of work would adapt to the requirements of the situation, depending on where the activity may be identified.

Skills and Attributes Required
* Proven problem-solving skills to ensure production plans are successfully achieved on time.
* Understanding of the supply chain process.
* Computer literate and skilled in using Office 365, and Power BI/Fabric with a reliable knowledge and experience working on D365.
* Well-developed ability in planning and organizing.
* Fast development building knowledge and experience of the products we work with.
* Have the potential to manage people.
* Ability to apply knowledge and experience when required to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
