Job Request Title: (UK) Trade Compliance Analyst
Description:
We're currently looking for a Trade Compliance Analyst to join the Customs and Trade Compliance team. The initial assignment duration is 6 months, with the possibility of extension. This is a full-time (37.5 hr/week), mostly remote role. Candidates will be expected to work onsite sporadically (once every 2 or 3 weeks) for team-related projects.
Global Trade Management roles lie either within the Trade Operations & Compliance or Export Controls area. Analysts will be responsible for researching & executing processes to comply with either Customs or Export Controls regulations. No trade or brokerage experience is required, but shipping, logistics, or transport experience would be a big plus. Good Excel skills are necessary (VLOOKUP, filters, ...) as the team works with spreadsheets a lot. Candidates will need to be able to analyze this data and draw conclusions from it.

Responsibilities:
Trade Operations and Compliance
1. Research and monitor local laws, regulations, procedures, and applicable benefits related to import/export transactions.
2. Prepare summaries of new regulations for review by team members.
3. Update appropriate supply chain and business unit contacts.
4. Monitor import/export activity for all business units in the assigned geography.
5. Gather and manage import/export data (including classification data) for the assigned geography.
6. Draft management reports on import/export activities.
7. Gather all necessary documentation to draft and submit applications for import/export licenses.
8. Monitor the approval process with appropriate governmental contacts.
9. Build and maintain relationships with appropriate governmental organizations.
10. Communicate with brokers to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
11. Analyze import/export activities to ensure compliance.
12. Prepare documentation to support the importing and exporting of materials.
13. Execute team processes as directed and provide input into process improvements.
14. Compile data and update metrics as requested.
Export Controls
1. Maintain a strong understanding of local export control laws and regulations.
2. Communicate important changes to managers.
3. Develop new compliance processes in line with Export Control procedures.
4. Review and monitor controlled goods programs for all business units.
5. Monitor Export Controls Tracker and Control process.
6. Gather all necessary documentation for licenses and monitor the approval process.
7. Provide training and gather documentation for secure server processes.
8. Prepare documentation and implement controls supporting controlled goods programs.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience:
1 to 3 years relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
