CM CORE - PLM Function Lead
Working closely with the Configuration and Data Management Capability Manager (CDMCM) and the PLM Technical Lead for the UK Wide core CDM tooling capability delivered against business process, the position will function as the overall functional leader for technical capability delivery against the stakeholder requirements. Whilst ensuring existing process is functionally adhered or improved through delivery.

Within this role, you shall give clear direction into the project on C&DM process and tools be that at System Requirements, System level, Software, modelling or hardware and how it interacts with CDM. In doing so, you must be prepared to ‘challenge the norm’ and support the organisation in process tailoring to fit the lifecycle phase and/or context of a Programme and Business As Usual (BAU).
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive a pro-active approach to C&DM into the Leonardo UK (LEUK) business holistically.
* Support Leonardo UK (LEUK) in encouraging new ideas and innovative solutions into the Integrated Project Team (IPT) and the Line of Business (LoB).
Strategic Responsibilities:
* Cultivate and manage working relationships acting as a functional point of contact across multiple vendors/partners - e.g Siemens (Teamcenter), SAP etc.
* Define and develop a comprehensive functional roadmap for CM/DM Tooling aligned with the Digital Engineering Strategy and LoB/IPT Requirements working closely with the CDMCM and the PLM Technical Lead.
* Functional lead technical capability definition and delivery where appropriate.
* Ensure capability alignment across wider ongoing initiatives across IT, Engineering and wider industry.
Functional Leadership:
* Accountable for capability delivered against a defined acceptance criteria incorporating customer, business, legislative and contractual requirements.
* Provide functional leadership in order to resolve technical, project and programme conflicts.
* Collaborate with CDMCM, Support Lead and PLM Technical Lead to develop a plan for workload, capability delivery and issue resolution.
* Coordinate across all project work streams providing functional guidance to ensure cohesion across planned design, capability and enhancement to meet business requirements.
* Accomplished functional specialist enabling PLM continuous improvement through collaboration and guidance.
* Liaise with the CM community and the wider business to ensure delivery of CM best practice functionally within LEUK.
Stakeholder Management:
* Engage and influence business stakeholders to ensure that specific business requirements are correctly collected and establish buy-in to proposed solutions.
* Engage and influence stakeholders across the wider business outside the focus of CDM to ensure that business requirements are satisfied for the entire LEUK lifecycle.
Key Performance Indicators:
* Assist in the establishment, development and running of a core PLM technical capability to run an enterprise-wide capability.
* Contribute to the establishment of appropriate ELA, OLA and SLA for the central enterprise capability.
* Demonstrate appropriate decision-making within the scope of project – time, cost and requirement acceptance within scope of defined objectives.
* Efficient and accurate delivery of capability within a defined functional roadmap (people and process lead).
* Form and expand a network of key stakeholders keeping the network fully engaged across LEUK.
* Collaborate across project streams working with the wider organisation towards a consistent standardised approach across LEUK.
* Gain recognition within LEUK as the functional focal point for PLM and CM.
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required:
Desirable Experience:
* A good understanding of Configuration Management in accordance with DEF STAN 05-57.
* Strong administration skills with attention to detail - you are required to have a logical mind-set.
Required Demonstrable Experience:
* Full understanding of the PLM lifecycle and Tool definition to meet specific requirements.
* Understand and capture end-to-end business requirements across multiple PLM domains.
* Ability to translate business requirements into context-driven functional use cases.
* Definition and agreement of acceptance criteria for requirements with IT and Business organisations.
* Proven ability to liaise and manage 3rd party vendors to ensure product functionality is delivered to meet defined acceptance criteria.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet project deadlines and constraints – time, cost, evolving requirements and acceptance criteria.

Required Qualifications and Professional Experience:
* HNC, equivalent or higher in Engineering or Equivalent Discipline.
* 10 years or more experience in leading Functional PLM development.
* 10 years hands-on experience in deploying an industry-standard PLM tool (e.g. Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault 3DXperience).
