Ealing Council have an exciting new trainee opportunity as an HR Advisor available on a full-time, 35 hours per week, hybrid basis. This newly created position is a great opportunity for someone who has experience working in a busy HR team, delivering professional and efficient services, who is looking for their next step to become a fully qualified HR Advisor and undertake relevant CIPD qualifications and CPD.
Day to day the HR Advisor trainee role will
* deliver a professional, efficient, and effective entry level HR advisory service to all Ealing Council and school employees and managers whilst applying excellent customer service
* assist in resolving basic/entry level employee relation issues/cases such as probation, sickness reviews, and minor misconduct cases etc
* provide entry level, basic support to managers about employee relations issues and policies.
* assist/shadow employee relations investigations
* undertake job evaluations
* ensure that all instructions, administration processes, tasks and deadlines are completed/met and implemented to the required standard for all managers and employees across the council to deliver business objectives.
You will need to be approachable, good at building trusted relationships and be able to communicate face to face and in writing as you will be a point of contact for staff, managers and trade union representatives.

Our ideal candidate for the HR Advisor trainee role will meet all the criteria set out in the grade 9 person specification at a minimum. This includes previous experience in a HR role, with intent to study towards CIPD membership, as well as evidence of willingness to undertake continuous professional development and further relevant training on job evaluation scheme(s). A good level of education, excellent IT awareness and applied IT skills are a must.
