Contract Quality Engineer Contract: 3 months Rate: £21.56ph - PAYE Hours: 37 per week Location: Cheltenham - onsite Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role is designed to work closely with all departments on-site to offer extensive support, guidance, and, when necessary, hands-on contributions to enhance and sustain the client's Quality Management Systems across people, processes, and products. Job description Locally manage and undertake both internal and external audits as required in conjunction with the relevant owner to the regulatory and local requirements. Performing internal audits to ensure compliance against all regulatory requirements Support and coach Operations to ensure rejects have robust containment, Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive Actions. Support all areas of the business on all matters relating to the maintenance of the quality systems, including procedures and processes. Support the development and implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) across the business Support the clients Management by providing support during both internal and external audits and management of the ETQ (audit report system) Support the provision of coaching on quality tools (PDCA, Root cause analysis). Assisting the monitoring and analysis of supplier performance and the execution of supplier audits. Skills You will have experience in a similar role, within an aerospace AS9110 /AS 9100 environments, but other process driven (e.g. automotive) may be considered. Internal Audit qualification to a recognised standard A good understanding of EASA Part 145 and other aerospace regulations. Experience of working with internal teams as well as customers is essential - managing complaints and problem solving with root cause analysis. Experience of dealing with regulatory authorities. Knowledge and experience in quality improvement and relevant tools (PDCA, Root cause analysis). Lean skills/experience You will be confident, driven, an excellent communicator with a hands-on approach. Strong statistical, analytical skills. Good Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) International travel when required. Flexibility within the Quality Team to cover other job responsibilities
