Steer Automotive Group is expanding, and we’re thrilled to offer an opportunity for a skilled MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician to join our advanced Bodyshop in Cheltenham. Known for excellence in automotive repair, we’re looking for a professional who is passionate about quality work and customer satisfaction.
About the Role:
As an MET Technician at Steer Automotive, you’ll be pivotal in diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components for a range of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models. Your expertise will ensure customers’ vehicles are safely back on the road with top-quality repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs, including ADAS calibration and wheel alignment.
* Dismantle vehicles to prepare for panel work and body repairs.
* Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and fault-finding.
* Handle inventory and replacement part orders efficiently.
* Reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition with new components.
* Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and manufacturer specifications.
* Keep clear communication with the team on repair status and progress.
About You:
You’re an experienced MET Technician, skilled in accident repair and familiar with the latest automotive technology. You work well under pressure, thrive in a team environment, and are committed to quality results and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as an MET Technician, with skills in electric and hybrid vehicles.
* Proficiency with ADAS, wheel alignment, mechanical repairs, and diagnostic tools.
* Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and manufacturer guidelines.
* Ability to manage workloads effectively, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
* Team-oriented and customer-focused, with a flexible approach to work.
