Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week, hybrid model
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum DOE
Our established client in Staffordshire is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Sending and paying invoices, chasing late payments, and reconciling company accounts
2. Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
3. Posting financial data to accounts
4. Setting up new supplier accounts
5. Monthly reconciliation of supplier stats
6. Filing Companies House and HM Revenue & Customs documents on clients' behalf
7. Ensuring that accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date
8. Dealing with the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns
9. Complying with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
10. General admin duties to provide support to the Finance Managers and the office
About You:
1. AAT Level 2 or equivalent qualification in finance or accounting
2. Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage Account 50+
3. Experience of delivering exceptional customer service in an office-based environment
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Ability to learn new IT skills quickly
