An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NEC Project Manager to come and join a Highway Structures Team in Cumbria.
The experienced Project Manager needs to be NEC accredited and have experience in bridge engineering and construction to support the council in managing the construction of a bridge n Cumbria.
The main duties of the NEC Project Manager are:
Undertake the role of NEC3 Project Manager in accordance with the NEC contract.
Ensure provision of guarantees and warranties for all works to be undertaken by the contractor
Liaise regularly with the council's NEC Supervisor
Ensure compliance with Construction Design and Management Regulations, CDM 2015
Progress the project through construction (including Contractor designed elements), and post-delivery defects assessment.
Assessment and certification of the contractors' application for payment and any compensation events.
Attend all necessary meetings requested by the authority. The consultant must expect to arrange, chair, minute and/or attend all meetings as necessary.
Monitor progress against delivery and expenditure schedules/forecasts
Complete and sign off practical completion for all stages of construction works in accordance with works information.
Ensure that proper identification of maintenance/ servicing requirements is achieved.
