We are looking for experienced Children’s Residential Support Workers to work in a three-bed therapeutic children’s home looking after young people (11 to 17 years old) with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Salary: Up to £12.50 per hour, paid sleep ins, and overtime at 1.5x hourly rate available.
Your Duties:
* Be a positive role model for the young people
* Take responsibility for the safeguarding of young people
* Support young people with day-to-day routines and education
* Support young people to take part in activities in the community and go on holiday
* Encourage independence
* Accurately record and update information in care plans
* Develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Attend meetings with your team and the young people
* Hold key work sessions with the young people
* Take part in training, development, and regular supervision
What We Need From You:
* Be a dedicated team player, committed to helping young people achieve positive outcomes
* You must be over the age of 21
* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children and Young People (or equivalent)
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Experience working in a residential childcare setting
* The flexibility to work on a rota system (mostly 2 days on/4 days off) including sleep ins and overtime where required
* Strong communication skills with young people, team members, and other professionals
* Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check, along with satisfactory references
