The Role
Our team is the best in the industry – is it time for you to join us? The Role: GAP Lifting offers one of the largest ranges of lifting equipment and accessories in the industry. GAP Lifting's TIC team are responsible for managing and scheduling the Test, Inspection and Certification (TIC) of lifting and working at height equipment – whether it's harnesses in the Highlands or cranes in Cornwall, we cover it. Furthermore, we can repair, service, install and supply any equipment to meet your requirements.
The Overhead Crane Engineer role is primarily site-based and will involve the servicing, inspection, and repair of Overhead Cranes, Electric Chain Hoists, Jib Cranes, and other lifting equipment.
Please note this role will be covering the North West and therefore candidates should be suitably located.
About You
Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:
1. Experience working as a Crane Engineer/Lifting Engineer/Fitter/Hoists
2. Competent in the inspection of lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER / PUWER.
3. LEEA Qualifications are highly desirable, this includes advanced programmes such as Lifting Machines Powered, Runways & Crane Structures and/or Overhead Travelling Cranes
4. Ability to work on own initiative and assist other team members when required
5. A customer-focused approach to workload and strong attention to detail
6. Valid driving licence is essential
