Main Duties of the Job
We have an opportunity for a receptionist post based in the Princess of Wales Hospital. We are looking for a friendly, approachable individual to join our emergency medicine team to provide comprehensive and high-quality reception and administrative support.
The post holder will be professional and have experience in a wide spectrum of reception and administrative duties.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications / Knowledge
* Good standard of education (At least 4 GCSEs 'C' grade or above).
* NVQ III or the equivalent level of knowledge, training, or experience.
* Understanding of office software packages.
* Knowledge of patient information systems.
Experience
* Working using own initiative and as part of a team.
* Being able to determine priorities.
* Previous experience in a customer-facing/admin & clerical role.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Previous NHS experience.
* Experience of working with hospital IT systems.
Aptitude and Abilities
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to keep calm in stressful situations.
* Ability to speak Welsh.
* Trained in WPAS or experience with other patient information systems.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £23,159 to £24,701 per annum pro rata.
