Our newly established, purpose-built Service Centre in Middlesbrough boasts a fully equipped workshop capable of overhauling and repairing various types of rotating machinery.
We are excited to announce a newly created role at our Middlesbrough Service Centre for a Quality Inspector. This position is essential for driving quality and continuous improvement throughout our operations. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
1. Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
2. Coordinate and manage the calibration of all measuring and testing equipment within the service centre.
3. Conduct thorough inspections and audits to ensure products and services meet established quality standards.
4. Identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement effective solutions.
5. Build and maintain positive relationships between the service centre and the quality department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
6. Provide training and support to team members on quality-related topics and best practices.
7. Prepare and present detailed quality reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
1. Proven experience in a Quality Inspector or similar role within a service or engineering / manufacturing environment.
2. Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and standards.
3. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to build strong working relationships across teams and departments.
5. Experience in coordinating calibrations and managing quality control systems.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Relevant certifications in quality assurance (e.g., ISO 9001) would be advantageous.
