Peverell Park Surgery is a well-established, family-friendly surgery that has been in its current location since 1993. The surgery covers a wide city-based area and is linked to the University Medical Centre to support student medical services/requirements. The surgery has regularly recruited and progressed with apprenticeship training in the past and is now looking to take on another ambitious and proactive apprentice to support the busy administration team.
Possibility of progression opportunities upon successful completion of Level 3.
The role will be varied and challenging and will involve most business aspects in the day-to-day running of an NHS surgery.
Tasks include:
* Working in accordance with written protocols
* Supporting general administration tasks
* Responding to emails
* Patient campaign and communication mail outs and batch SMS messaging
* Handling general medical enquiries, including liaising with GPs and other NHS contacts
* Actioning patient registration queries
* Liaising with local medical authorities on medical support provision enquiries
Business Administrator Standard - Level 3.
On-the-job training to support role development.
Off-the-job training to support qualification requirements.
The employer will offer dedicated training time to support off-the-job training requirements.
Functional Skills support - maths/English - if required.
Monday–Friday, between 8.00am - 6.00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break if working over 6 hours). Full working times/schedules will be confirmed at the interview.
