Key Responsibilities: Design Leadership: Manage and guide design teams to deliver high-quality, PAS 2035-compliant solutions for retrofit projects. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring expectations are met. Compliance Management: Ensure all designs align with PAS 2035:2019 standards, addressing risk assessments, energy efficiency improvements, and retrofit coordination. Project Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to incorporate designs into retrofit plans that balance energy savings, tenant needs, and cost efficiency. Resource Allocation: Oversee design resources across multiple projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Quality Control: Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to meet energy efficiency goals and building regulations. Collaboration: Coordinate with clients, contractors, and retrofit teams for seamless execution of project designs. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on cutting-edge energy-efficient technologies and practices to enhance project outcomes. Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Designer in construction, sustainability, or energy efficiency. Strong expertise in PAS 2035:2019 and its application to large-scale retrofit projects. In-depth knowledge of energy-efficient design, building fabric improvements, and sustainability principles. Demonstrated experience working with public sector or social housing projects. Exceptional leadership, organisational, and project management skills. Strong client and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD or Revit and project management systems. Desirable: Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline. Certifications in retrofit coordination, energy efficiency, or project management.
