Site Trainer the role:
Design, develop, and deliver effective training programs that enhance employee safety, skills, and performance across the site.
Monitor and assess employee competencies and ensure full compliance, continuously evaluating the impact and effectiveness of training initiatives.
Drive operational excellence by improving processes, fostering performance, and supporting the sites continuous improvement goals.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Develop appropriate training Identify training needs though job analysis, appraisals and consultation with Managers to create and implement a structured training plan that aligns with group objectives.
Deliver training Deliver engaging and effective training using appropriate methods to cater to different learning styles.
Evaluate training effectiveness Monitor and analyse performance data to measure training efficiencies. Adjust training content and methods as needed.
Mentor employees Provide ongoing support and guidance for employees, fostering their professional development and aligning mentoring activities with a culture of continuous improvement.
Maintain training records Keep meticulous, audit-ready records of all training activities and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures Create, develop and/or review existing SOPs as required.
Refresher training Ensuring all internal refresher training is completed within legislative and company guidelines.
External training liaise with external providers to ensure any skills that require recertification are maintained.
Propelbe the site lead in Propel, the group continuous improvement program.
People management support the wider management team with formal and informal processes including performance reviews, investigations, disciplinaries and absence management.
To be considered for this role you will have:
-Solid knowledge of manufacturing principles, processes (e.g. SOPs) and best practices.
-Demonstrated experience in a training or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
-Comprehensive understanding of HSE requirements and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
-Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite and bespoke manufacturing software.
-Ability to effectively persuade and influence others to achieve desired outcomes.
-An enthusiastic, positive and practical mindset, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
-IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (Desirable: training can be provided).
-Relevant knowledge and experience in Lean principles, 6S, or continuous improvement methodologies (Desirable).
