Media & Broadcast TVOB Bookings Operator
Are you passionate about the world of media and broadcast technology? As a Media & Broadcast Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in managing, monitoring, and repairing services and platforms from our diverse product portfolio.
Why this job matters
Your daily activities will involve engaging with prestigious clients like the BBC, ITV, Sky, and hundreds of other global broadcasters. You'll be responsible for liaising and booking Occasional Use and Outside Broadcast streams, which carry television feeds across the UK and globally.
In this dynamic role, you'll be part of the Television Outside Broadcast unit within BT Technology's Media and Broadcast division. You'll provide a global 24-hour booking function and first-line account management for key global TV, Media & Broadcast customers. Your dedication to delivering world-class customer service will be crucial as you proactively sell services and offer managed customer solutions, from quotation and order processing to event planning and on-site coordination.
What you'll be doing
1. Act as the primary point of contact with responsibility for the planning and/or service delivery of customers or specified key accounts, contracts or events as allocated to produce the agreed quality of service.
2. Own all customer enquiries and orders for the TVOB Temporary Services product set and progress and coordinate customer orders through quotation, order taking and processing, service provision and billing preparation.
3. Coordinate and book both internal and external resources to provide the most cost-effective solution, ensuring quality control to meet service level agreements and customer satisfaction.
4. Ensure that billing preparation data is completed to meet unit and financial deadlines to ensure customers are accurately billed in a timely manner.
5. Adhere to global booking, billing preparation and financial processes and effectively use the relevant information systems and databases to record information that accurately reflects services provided to enable service provision and accurate billing.
6. Own and resolve customer complaints and billing issues within established processes.
7. Proactively support the booking team with effective control of resource levels by providing information on account and work activity, providing cover where required for periods of sickness, annual leave and increases in business activity. Team leader responsibility may be allocated as required.
8. Support the additional temporary events functions operating from within the business unit, with capability for processing new customer orders and maintaining the customer relationship.
9. Actively involved in developing and increasing the profitability of the unit by building and developing new and existing customer relationships, with attendance at customer service review meetings and proactively selling services via telephone and/or customer visits.
