This is an opportunity for a part-time Donation Centre Assistant to join our Big C retail team. You will support the successful day-to-day operations of the Donation Centre where you will help deliver high-quality customer service, making the most of donations to maximise sales and profit, and delivering a first-class distribution service. This will include effective sorting, selection, storage, and distribution of donated goods.

As a local cancer charity, Big C are dedicated to supporting anyone affected by cancer in Norfolk and neighbouring counties whilst working with key partners in research and healthcare to improve future outcomes.
Big C has raised over £40 million since the charity was founded in 1980; £20 million in the past seven years alone. On average, £3 million is raised each year by Big C’s loyal supporters. Income is also generated via our Big C charity shops across the region.
There are an estimated 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime. Big C seeks and implements new approaches and projects to make sure that no one is missing out on the opportunity to access our support.

About the role
If you have good customer service skills, able to work within a small team, willing to learn and able to lift and carry donated items, this could be ideal for you. You will need to make the most of donated goods through effective sorting, selection, storage and distribution to retail shops.
The working hours are 7 hours per week to be worked on a Saturday, with some flexibility to work during the week if required. The working hours are 8:30am to 4pm with a 30 minute lunch break. You will be based at our Wymondham Distribution Centre
The salary is National Minimum Wage for age (£6.40 to £11.44 per hour, increasing to £7.55 to £12.21 per hour from April 2025).
