Technical Apprentice
We are recruiting two full-time Technical Apprentices to join the Technical team at the Marlowe Theatre.
The ideal candidates will creatively support the Marlowe’s technical team in maintaining our own productions and the high-profile tours that we receive. We are looking for people who are approachable, work collaboratively within a team and are highly organised. You will also have a passion for theatre and the drive to progress your own career and skills development.
Alongside working with our dynamic and resilient technical team, you will develop a broad range of technical skills and knowledge. The successful apprentices will complete the Level 3 Creative Industries Production Technician – Creative Venue Technician pathway. Learning will take place on-site in the theatre and online with your apprenticeship provider, Access Industry.
Experience of working on productions in schools or amateur dramatics and an understanding of Health and Safety would be desirable.
Level 4 or above at GCSE in Maths and English is preferable. If you are successfully shortlisted, you will be required to complete a skill scan and your contact details will be shared with Access Industry. Please note, without the skill scan your application will not be taken forward.
We want to work with people who are enthusiastic about their work, solution-focused and supportive of their colleagues.
