An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Ledger Manager to join our Finance Operations team on a 12 months fixed term basis. As Finance Ledger Manager you will lead, manage, coach & mentor a team within our Financial Operations Department ensuring resource is adequately managed to facilitate the day to day activities. You will be responsible for the controls and integrity of financial data within the ledger and the appropriate reporting of the financial condition of the ledger. You will be required to ensure compliance with the appropriate financial accounting rules and regulations as well as ensuring that daily liquidity funding from trades is robust and accurate and any breaches recorded in line with process. In this role you will lead the partnership with key stakeholders to reduce financial risks & exposures in relation to key processes. You will also be responsible for the d elivery of efficient and accurate solutions for ledger changes, reconciliation software and other finance system changes. We’d love to hear from you if you have: Excellent knowledge of Financial Services accounting and Finance environment, including pensions & investment, and banking Strong stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally Excellent knowledge of general ledger and technical accounting Experience of bank and control account reconciliations, over multi currencies Experience of using reconciliation software A growth mindset and passion for identifying and enacting continuous improvement Proven experience in managing a direct team or providing support through coaching or mentoring It is also desirable but not essential to have: An accounting qualification or working towards ACCA/CIMA What’s in it for you?
