We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at HMP Dovegate, a Category B men's Prison located in Staffordshire.
Hours
The site currently offers a Monday - Friday schedule; 8am - 4pm.
Salary
This position is full time, offering an annual salary of up to £24,669 - £28,689 per annum, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Completing general dispensary duties and stock management
* Working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
* Providing a timely and efficient service to the prison wings
* Receiving prescriptions and stock returns from wing-based clinical areas
* Collecting orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arranging collection of returns
* Participating in dispensing of prescriptions.

Qualifications required:
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards
* Medicines handling experience desirable, not essential
* Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills and IT literacy
* Ability to work within a busy environment
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
