About the Role Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Systems Administrator with expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). As part of their expanding team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the performance, security, and availability of critical systems within a secure environment. Key Responsibilities System Administration: Manage and maintain RHEL systems across development, staging, and production environments. Installation & Configuration: Deploy and configure RHEL systems, applications, and services to meet scalability and reliability standards. Security Management: Implement security policies, harden systems, and apply regular patches to ensure compliance with industry standards. Automation: Develop scripts and workflows for system provisioning, updates, and maintenance using tools like Ansible or Shell scripting. Troubleshooting & Support: Deliver second- and third-line support, resolving issues related to system performance, networking, and application deployments. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize system performance to maximize resource utilization and minimize bottlenecks. Backup & Disaster Recovery: Ensure backups and disaster recovery plans are in place to protect critical systems and data. Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation on configurations, procedures, and best practices. Essential Skills & Experience 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing RHEL systems in enterprise environments. Strong understanding of security concepts, including user permissions, SELinux, firewalls, and security updates. Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware. Experience in air-gapped environments and managing offline repositories is desirable. Proven ability to troubleshoot, solve problems, and work under pressure.
