Pension and Payroll Officer
Brook Street are working with a highly reputable Client who are looking for one Full time and one part time, Pensions and Payroll Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.
Salary: £27,000 - £29,000
Location: Cardiff
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely payments for staff.
Administer pensions across five schemes, including Teachers' and Local Government Pensions.
Handle statutory deductions, salary sacrifice schemes, and compliance with HMRC regulations.
Provide support and advice on payroll policies, pension queries, and statutory calculations.
Maintain payroll data accuracy using iTrent and produce reports for audits and reconciliations.
Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and ensure compliance with legislation.
Requirements:
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
High level of accuracy and numeracy for handling complex calculations.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Knowledge of payroll legislation, HMRC regulations, and pensions administration.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems (iTrent experience desirable).
CIPP qualification or significant experience in payroll/pensions administration.
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective relationships.
Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.Please contact for more information
