This leading multidisciplinary practice of Architects, Engineers and Planners is continuing to win some highly prized projects which has led to this position being created.
They are keen to appoint a Civil Engineering Leader (Senior Associate Director/Director) who will manage their teams in delivering some exciting international projects. As a Team Manager, you will be proficient in undertaking all aspects of design and coordination of civil engineering projects.

Our client provides services which include a range of civil engineering design, procurement, coordination, and project management services to support clients through the whole project life cycle. Offering a fully multi-discipline consultancy service or standalone specialist technical services for projects in excess of £100 million in value.
The discipline has particular expertise in highways design, pavements, bridges, earthworks engineering, cut and fill assessments, ground remediation, underground services, flood alleviation, sustainable drainage systems, pumping stations, and sewerage systems, external works and highway and drainage section agreements (S278, S38 & S104).
The role will involve:
1. Managing and leading project teams
2. Working closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects i.e. architects, building services engineers, project managers, and cost managers
3. Assessing resource levels to deliver challenging projects
4. Managing/mentoring engineers and technicians towards Chartered status
5. Preparing client/project proposals to win new work
6. Representing our client at project meetings to present designs and make key project decisions
7. Preparing fee proposals and managing project costs
8. Constructing project teams from internal and external resources
9. Monitoring and planning project profitability (costs and budgets)
10. Procuring project resources
11. Managing and coordinating highways and drainage designs relating to large development infrastructure projects
12. Producing Flood Risk Assessments (FRA's), Drainage Strategies, Nutrient Mitigation, and other Pre-Planning advice
13. Providing day-to-day client interface, conducting site visits for technical assessment or problem-solving
It is hoped that you will be a Chartered Civil Engineer with familiarity with BIM, working to British Standards and the ability to understand the design process. You should possess strong technical skills, knowledge, and experience to find creative solutions for even the most complex challenges and the ability to communicate these clearly to all parties.
