Who we need...
The Wedding & Events Manager is an integral part of the team who will work alongside the Events Team and General Manager, this is a multi-focused role, with a responsibility for selling, planning and running the execution of weddings, conferences and events. Whilst ensuring all existing and potential clients receive a professional, polite and efficient service and making sure all of the company's standards are adhered to. Being a Family run business we like to give each client a personalised approach to their event, making them feel more than ‘just a number’.
We are looking for somebody who is enthusiastic, confident and dynamic with a friendly attitude. This person must have the initiative to work alone as well as part of a team and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate:

5. Previous experience in the hospitality industry within a similar venue.
6. Proven experience in event planning and coordination, especially in the wedding and special events industry
7. Be flexible (Available to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis)
8. Stamina for wedding and event days (10-12 hour days)
9. Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask
10. Creative mindset with impeccable attention to detail
11. Excellent communication skills
12. Able to work under pressure
13. Must have an excellent telephone manner and be computer literate.
14. Focused on delivering an exceptional level of customer service
15. Confident and professional approach when dealing with clients and event suppliers
16. Good understanding of catering operations
17. Enthusiastic and passionate with high levels of energy to work within a fast-paced business
Additional desirable qualities include:
1. Financial Skills
2. Previous Team Management experience.
3. Knowledge of staff rota and shift patterns
4. Knowledge of catering and food preparation (training provided)
5. Proficiency in event management software and Google Office Suite
6. The ability to motivate and lead a team
This is a full time position based on 45 hours per week and hours will be given in advance week to week.
Due to the industry, working weekends, evenings, and bank holidays will be expected as required by the business.
