Job Purpose
We have a great opportunity for a Section Manager (Customer Services). You will report to the Water and Wastewater Customer Services Manager and be responsible for the day to day management and operation of a number of Network Enquiries Teams based in Lingley Mere/Whitehaven together with matrix management to ensure performance is achieved within the department. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the Network Enquiries teams handle a customer's enquiry through to resolutions delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Responsible for the successful leadership & management of Network Enquiries Teams, driving a customer service culture that delivers an effective, productive & efficient service that surpasses expectations & business targets
* Matrix responsibility for up to 150 employees across a 24/7 operation with between 2-12 direct reports. Deputising for the Water and Wastewater Customer service Manager as required.
* Work as part of the end to end Integrated Network Team, supporting initiatives, proof of concepts and improvements to deliver outstanding customer experience. Subject matter expert representing the water & wastewater customer area leading on any Integrated Network Solution (INS) enhancements and projects as required.
* Create a high performing team through establishing team identity, purpose, agreed ground rules and aligned objectives. Through this, ensure direct reports are developed to realise their full potential by utilising the UU performance management and development frameworks
* Responsible for leading incidents and where necessary leading a Customer Task Team during incident response
