Position Overview: My client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist and Deburring Engineer to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC lathes using Fanuc programming to produce high-precision aerospace components and performing detailed deburring to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate CNC lathes using Fanuc programming to machine parts according to engineering specifications and schematic drawings.
* Set up, adjust, and maintain CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
* Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to prevent downtime and ensure longevity.
* Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify conformity to specifications.
* Carry out deburring tasks with precision and care, removing excess material, and smoothing edges to meet quality standards.
* Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to address any production issues or improvements.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
* Document and report any non-conformances or equipment malfunctions, ensuring all documentation is correct.
Qualifications:
* Experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace or aviation industry.
* Strong understanding of Fanuc programming, tooling, and machining processes.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Familiarity with deburring tools and techniques, as well as inspection methods.
* Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Formal qualifications are not required.
