Logistics Operative
Location: Cheltenham
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am-3:00 pm, Friday 7:00 am-1:00 pm
Salary: £27,000 per annum with opportunities for progression
We are seeking a proactive and organised Logistics Operative to oversee and ensure the smooth running of operational activities within the logistics function of our business. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a thriving team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all warehouse and surrounding area activities comply with legislation, company policies, procedures, and contract practices.
2. Complete all required documentation and handle information in a timely and accurate manner.
3. Meet all goods-in and goods-out requirements on time and in full, ensuring collaboration with other business functions.
4. Safely and efficiently operate company equipment in line with policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
5. Maintain and comply with Health & Safety standards in your area of work.
6. Uphold ISO 9001:2008 system requirements within the logistics function.
7. Ensure a high standard of housekeeping, keeping work areas tidy, secure, and locked when unoccupied.
8. Manage stock (raw materials, finished goods, and consumables) within designated warehouse areas.
9. Participate in developmental training as required.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is desirable.
2. A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is advantageous.
3. Strong team player with a willingness to learn new skills.
4. Effective communication skills.
5. Safety-conscious mindset and attention to detail.
6. Flexible, with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
7. Competent in using MS Office applications.
