With a reputation for innovation and excellence, they offer exciting career opportunities with room for professional growth and development.They are currently seeking a Fire Systems Engineer to take a key role in managing the maintenance, compliance, and operation of fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems across their sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to drive fire safety standards and contribute to a safer working environment.Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the implementation of fire safety policies and strategies, ensuring compliance with the Business Code of Practice, relevant legislation, and British and European Standards.
* Identify and implement compliance improvements using industry best practices and cost-effective solutions to achieve both short- and long-term objectives.
* Oversee the maintenance and operation of fire detection and suppression systems, ensuring all systems meet required safety standards.
* Manage and coordinate contractors to service and maintain fire systems across multiple sites.
* Provide expert advice on system condition, suitability, and upgrades, helping to plan for future obsolescence and system improvements.
* Oversee contracts for the supply, installation, and maintenance of fire safety equipment.
* Support decision-making and problem-solving by providing specialist advice on fire system maintenance and project delivery.
What We’re Looking For: To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Strong knowledge of fire detection and suppression systems, fire safety legislation, and compliance requirements.
* Relevant qualifications in fire safety and/or electrical disciplines.
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of fire systems and associated equipment.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage contractors and motivate a diverse team.
* A proactive and driven approach, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to gather, organize, and interpret data for logic-based problem-solving.
* Strong communication skills—clear, concise, and effective both verbally and in writing.
* Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and project management.
* A team-oriented mindset, with a flexible approach to work and the ability to meet deadlines.
