The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting exclusively for a QHSE Officer for the DRVN Automotive Group. Working with key stakeholders and representatives within each of the group companies, the purpose of the role is to create, implement and drive a continuous improvement programme to achieve the best working practices for Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental Management Systems. Being able to create common working practices across a diverse group of companies will be key to the success of the role.
Working with the existing QHSE officer and the Quality Director, the role will also support the reinforcement of a Quality culture by setting up the infrastructure to support these continuous improvement activities as well as representing each of the companies in achieving any relevant accreditation as part of the journey.

Responsibilities
1. Follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company.
2. Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships.
3. Manage and liaise with QHSE auditors to acquire/maintain Company's accreditations.
4. Create, monitor, and maintain the processes, procedures, and templates referenced within the Quality Management System. Generate KPIs and facilitate QMS management reviews.
5. Coach, guide, advise and instruct company employees including management on all QHSE matters to ensure adherence to legislation.
6. Plan and perform audits, recording both successes and failings and monitor corrective actions to implement best practice.
7. Provide and/or arrange relevant training to internal personnel.
8. Ensure that the company processes are delivering their intended outputs.
9. Report on the performance of the QHSE processes and on opportunities for improvement.
10. Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organisation.
11. Maintain and continuously improve the integrity of the QHSE management system.
12. Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced.
13. Outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards.
14. Conduct regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to.
15. Ensure working practices are safe and compliant with legislation.
16. Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policies relevant to the business.
17. Lead in-house training with managers and employees about all QHSE matters and risks.
18. Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
19. Record incidents and accidents and produce statistics for managers.
20. Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry.
21. Attend Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) seminars and read professional journals.
22. Produce management reports, newsletters, and bulletins.
23. Ensure equipment is installed safely and generate safe systems of work.
24. Implement and chair regular H&S committee meetings.
25. Manage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances, e.g., asbestos (COSHH).
26. Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g., fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, and occupational diseases.
27. Manage and monitor emergency procedures, signage, PPE, COSHH control etc.
Must have IDLR/Full Rights to Work in UK - Sponsorship or Work Permits will not be accepted/ provided.
Essential Skills
1. NEBOSH General or equivalent qualifications.
2. Strong knowledge and understanding with Certifications within ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO 45001, ISO 14001.
3. Demonstrate a passion for Health, Safety, Environment & Quality with robust knowledge and understanding of these subjects.
4. Able to work as a member of a team, but also capable of working alone to tight deadlines as appropriate, setting own high-quality standards.
5. Able to lead others to understanding, capture or create new and existing processes.
6. Able to coach others in how to create safe, clear and effective processes & procedures.
7. Proficient with MS Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
8. A strong working knowledge of Risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and DSE preferably in a Manufacturing and/or Prototype environment.
9. Experienced qualified Auditor.
10. A “hands-on” implementer of processes and change.
11. Full UK Driving licence and must be willing to travel.
