Aircraft Structural Fitter Overview: Global Partner Solutions is seeking Structural Production Fitters for a contract position. The role will be based at our client’s facility in Belfast, and shift work is required, for which a premium will be paid. The rate for day shift starts at £32.00, while night shifts are paid up to £37.50. The initial contract duration is 3 months. Structural Fitters play a vital role in the construction and manufacturing industries. They must possess specific technical skills to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in the fitting process. Responsibilities: Blueprint Interpretation: Structural fitters must read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions to understand the specifications and dimensions of the components they are working with. Fabrication: Fitters are responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components in line with technical specifications, utilizing tools such as saws and drills. Installation: After fabrication, structural fitters install components on-site, often working at heights on staging or assembly jigs. Quality Control: Ensuring that all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications is essential. Fitters must verify the integrity and quality of the structures they assemble. Collaboration: Structural fitters work closely with engineers and other team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Qualifications: Mechanical or Aeronautical diploma, apprenticeship, or NVQ Level 3. Desired Skills: Own tooling (including foamed toolbox and etched tooling). Experience in manufacturing Bombardier Business Jets.
