The role:
The business is experiencing exponential growth and is now looking for a Specifier / CAD Designer to join the team. This is a hybrid role with time split between home, office, and nationwide site visits.
This is a customer-facing role, supporting regional BDMs to ensure accurate, on-budget designs and quotations are delivered to high standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Review drawings and requirements to create suitable designs using the Project CÜRV Whole Solution products.
2. Ensure designs meet clients' specific SAP score requirements, where specified.
3. Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure accuracy and KPIs are met.
4. Attend site meetings when required.
5. On acceptance, hand over all projects to the Project Management team with pre-install documentation, including credit clearance, terms, customer and lead contractor contact details, and pre-install checklists.
6. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
7. Ensure final designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
8. Revise designs and layouts to correct deficiencies or improve productivity.
9. Prepare cost estimates and production schedules for project proposals.
10. Conduct site visits as necessary to gather data and assess project feasibility.
11. Maintain and update drawing files, ensuring accurate documentation and version control.
12. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
13. Perform quality checks on completed designs to identify and rectify errors.
Essential skills:
* Ability to read architects' drawings and overlay products for installation.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Driving Licence.
* Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or MicroStation.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, architectural, or electrical drafting.
* Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Nice to have:
Experience in renewable energy systems such as air source heat pumps, infrared heating, EV chargers, or solar.
