Area Sales Manager
Do you have a proven track record in achieving budgeted sales turnover and gross margins in independent accounts, wholesale and national accounts in the homewares industry? Can you analyse account data, review and present back to internal and external stakeholders? Have you opened new business opportunities within key independent?
MacGregor Black are partnering with a global market leading housewares brand, on the search for an Area Sales Manager (North). As Area Sales Manager, you will be reporting to the Sales Manager with the main duties and responsibilities being to develop the business sales area in line with the company goals and any targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the development of Regional and Key Accounts across the North of England and Scotland.
2. Manage and grow existing retail accounts within your territory.
3. Actively prospect for new distributors and domestic interior design accounts.
4. Work with reporting systems to accurately measure customer account performance in terms of sales turnover against targets.
5. Develop & Manage Regional/Key Accounts.
6. Target new business opportunities.
7. Deliver on budgets and targets.
8. Set target plans by brand for territories.
What are we looking for?
1. Ideally at least 2 years of field sales experience.
2. Good knowledge of the tool industry and product lines.
3. Experience of selling B2B within the area.
4. Strong presentation and communication skills.
5. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
6. Relationship builder able to communicate at all levels.
7. Strong listening skills and creative thinker.
8. Able to adapt to an ever-changing sector.
