Experienced Health Advisor required in East London ASAP
Dream Medical is looking for experienced Health Advisors to work within a prestigious private hospital in East London covering 1-3 days per week 09.00-17.30 (flexible on which days).
As a Health Advisor, you will play a vital role in promoting health and well-being among individuals. Your expertise and guidance will empower others to make informed decisions about their health and adopt healthier lifestyles to prevent or manage health issues effectively. Working in diverse settings, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver health education, conduct assessments, and develop personalized health plans.
Responsibilities
1. Offer an outstanding customer experience and put the patient at the centre of their health assessment.
2. Explain clinical results and risk factors to our customers – taking them on a journey of how this impacts their health and well-being and steps they can take to mitigate this risk.
3. Provide individual lifestyle advice appropriate to customer needs with reference to their health risk, health assessment results, and their health and well-being goals.
4. Manage and maintain equipment within the clinic.
5. Help to ensure the centre is compliant with regulations set by the CQC, including hygiene, confidentiality, customer service, and health and safety.
6. Carry out clinical testing including body composition analysis, spirometry, heart rate monitoring, phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, and blood pressure.
7. Travel as required to complete remote health screens within the UK.
8. Manage health screen bookings and home tests.
9. Provide admin support as and when required.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent in exercise physiology, sports science, or nutrition (essential).
2. Strong customer service focus.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Experience of performing measurements or assessments in a health and fitness or medical environment is desirable.
5. Accuracy in information recording and working within clinical guidelines.
6. Ability to build rapport with customers, tailoring your approach to individuals.
7. Empathy and ability to motivate customers to make positive health changes.
8. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
